Fall 2010

Browsing style.com I stumbled upon Louis Vuitton and decided to look through their fall 2010 line. I was so happy to see the call back to fifties shapes and I'm loving the all-bearing cleavage. These three were my favorite pieces of the line, and I already recognized one of the looks in Vogue's July editorials.

Soniaaaaaa! How could anyone resist those lovely pom-pom headpieces? If I had the money I'd buy one and wear it every day. I also loved Sonia Rykiel's fall line this season. She played with menswear as models trotted down the runway wearing oversized (and I mean oversized) suits and trench coats held together with big safety pins. Above are my three favorites of the line, they're all sweater dresses but I think it works because she had such a range of them this season!

Vivienne Westwood. What can I say? Who else could effortlessly put mustaches, heavy makeup, and paper crowns upon their models and somehow pull it all together into a whimsical, fun, show? I was at first averted to this line, I thought it was maybe too over the top without any real structure. But the more I look at this line, the more I can see the shapes and the real thought carefully hidden. Well done Westwood.
